Feeling inspired after reading 'After the Storm' by Nick Butterworth we worked in partners and used natural resources from the nature garden to make homes for a variety of animals. 

Day and Night

Look at this amazing Day and Night display we created in p1a and b. We have been learning all about the different things we see during the day and at night. We used painting, collage and printing to create this display. 

Alphabet experts

Now we know all the sounds in the alphabet we are able to build words by ourselves!

Hop, skip and jump

It might be getting chilly but that hasn't stopped the boys and girls in primary 1 heading outside to work on their PE skills this week. They have been working in teams to complete a variety of activities which build on their jumping, running and throwing skills. 

Magic show

We had an extra fun start to the week with a road safety magic show. We learned all about how to cross the road safely, we were very impressed by the magic too!

Food Focus Fortnight

During Food Focus Fortnight we will be learning about where foods come from and why it’s important to eat a balanced meal. We have already made some delicious fruit kebabs, yum! 

 

Financial Education Week

During Financial Education Week p1 have been learning to recognise coins and why it’s important to save money. We decorated these money boxes so we can start saving at home!
